Creative destruction is what happens when new technologies displace old ones. I think the ESPN model an old cable model. I cut the cord and only get internet access and am very happy.

Plus more NetFlix and Amazon than I would want to watch in several lifetimes.

I think there is going to be a big decrease in the money provided to D1 football by ESPN, possibly resulting in renegotiating contracts. I expect the conference networks to pick up the slack and there will be more than enough content for fanatics.

But this year is fine and the beer will be cold. I'll either have to go back to cable for a few months or use my son's ESPN subscription (he uses my NetFlix and Amazon). The times they are a changin.
