Interesting. Interesting that a guy writing a football column would be so ignorant of the game of football that he believes (knows?) GT runs the triple option. After he makes that statement, the rest of his column is nonsense because it is based on an incorrect assumption.
If, in fact, Carolina has spent the last 2 weeks working on defending the Triple Option, GT should score another 60+ points on them.
To be fair, it just might be that he's real young or real stupid in general and not just about football. I mean, consider this sentence:
"Preparing for the option is very hard, because in essence you have to throw out your entire playbook and focus defensively on defending the gap in front of you, taking away the dive play, and tackling well, especially on the perimeter."
It begins like a sentence from a grade school essay. If he had a required word count, he may have said, "very, very hard." He then misuses the comma between "hard and because." Of course, the suggestion that you don't have to control gaps and tackle well against other offensives should be an indicator of his grasp on the game.
Still, I've seen like three or four articles describing the challenges facing UNC this weekend and none that discusses the challenges UNC offers GT.
