I got Tech in a close one. Watched UVA vs Louisville. They don't look like the same team from last year. Dropping passes, stupid penalties, Armstrong does not look comfortable in that offense or behind that line. The College Football News crowd has Tech winning also in a relatively close contest. We will see. Their resident expert Pete Fiutak predicts Tech to win 26-20. Seems about right but it could go the other way. Pressure on Armstrong is absolutely necessary. That guy is a gunslinger and dangerous give time.

I have been conditioned over the years to expect little from our football program. Actually being favored has not favored us. Keeping my fingers crossed, one eye covered and hoping that tonight will reflect a new Tech and not the old Tech.

This is a game that needs to be taken seriously. UVA will figure this is a game they can win. It could be a struggle. They have a very capable QB who has not had a good year so far. We need to get them down early and take the fight out of them.

What did you expect? UVA is really bad. We all thought Sims was healthy. And we are fans living on the high of the first 'win streak' in something like 40 months. It's not like we are sports journalists and even they are embarrassingly horrible when it comes to actually predicting outcomes.
