We used to have one of the most beautiful real grass playing turfs in college football

Fixed it for you. Hive has a little more substance than that other one. More history, majority of posters with more class.
Nah, the fonts from StingTalk were personally invited to come over here by Eric. It wasn't until all the fonts from Hive and BBuzzoff came on-board that it moved away from substance and gravitated towards sniping and bickering. In the beginning, those ST fonts that were off-topic were corrected pretty quickly. Ah, those were the days. We miss you Eric.

There really has been a drastic change in the last year. Much like the team and headed the same direction

Some of this crowd will blame Collins if their wife cheats on them. I've never seen anything like it. Bad sod is Collins fault because it's a gimmick lmao. I'm not making this up.
Of course it was a gimmick by CGC trying to bring the Adidas Three Stripe Life look to the field!
If you don't realize this is sarcastic, I feel sorry for you....

There was an interview with the head groundskeeper in the AJC last week. It had to be done from a damage control perspective, it would have been a total goat track by the UGA game if not addressed now. This has nothing to do with the coaches...

I'll say we give the groundskeeper 3 years to get it right. It's not fair to judge him on only a short time. All I want to see is improvement each year now if it ain't better after year 3 than we need to replace him. It's just not his fault that the weather has been cold. I know what some you are going to say Tech doesn't have the money to get a 4 or 5 star groundskeeper like Alabama and Clemson but we can keep up the Duke and WF. I'm sorry get over it the old groundskeeper is gone, he hurt our recruiting not using more Blue and less gold and white but we all know we had a problem recruiting because not using colors these young recruits want. The days of players who didn't care are gone. I say give him the 3 years , if we fire him now our unemployment insurance will go up 3 %, laugh now but you won't when you go to the bathroom and have no paper towels to wash your hands you won't laugh , do you really want to be like uga and go to the bathroom and not wash your hands, we are Tech we wash our hands.

They wanted to replace the turf earlier than they did but there was a logistics problem getting it here, so they didn't. Then, knowing we had 3 games in a span of 15 days, they bit the bullet and decided it would be best to go ahead with the re-sod between the hashes because the turf's condition was bad. They knew it would look better if they left it alone, but in the end it will play better for these last 3 games by going ahead with the re-sod. Do you guys remember seeing all the slipping and sliding at Virginia? That's where we were headed. As mentioned before, the cold snap didn't help because the sod did not stay green in transit. Then, the rain in the forecast forced the grounds crew to paint the field much sooner than normal, so it wasn't freshly painted as it normally is when we see it on Saturdays.
