Sorry guys. Had to come back to this after yesterday’s game. I was in Athens and stayed for the entire game. Not one person in that stadium sat down other than tv breaks. That includes Tech and ga fans.

All you old farts who gave me crap about standing up at NC state last Thursday can kick rocks. Time to attract a more rowdy crowd to Bobby Dodd. The type who wants to make noise. Their crowd absolutely made a difference yesterday causing multiple false starts. We can do that in Atlanta if we allow more fans to act like actual fans. Good Lord we have some soft fans here…

Perhaps grow up and show some class to those around you. Be respectful. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Not everyone can stand the whole game. Give it a rest. Come and be loud and cheer the team on. If it's first and 10 and someone asks you not to stand, be respectful. One day, you may not be able to stand the whole game. Geez.

Buy a ticket in the gold seats or enjoy it from your recliner. This program needs a more lively fanbase at games.

Go out and recruit as many as you can.

How many of you guys were at the following hames at BFS: Clemson 2005, ND and UMD 2006, Clemson 2007, FSU and Miami 2008, Clemson, VPI, and UGAg 2009? BDS, when we’re winning, is a loud and raucous experience - people standing and yelling their heads off.

The sad reality is we haven’t won consistently enough to keep fans around or be loud since about 2010.

That changed this season. I think we’re about to see some great, loud games again. Patience is more needed than running off older fans and supporters.

We need FANS. Loud fans, old fans, young fans, fans in general. But be respectful of those around you. Don't be a jerk. One day you may not be able to stand the whole game and will be the one telling others to sit down of 1st and 10 at the 25. Have some common sense. Those old timers are the ones who have paid for the program for the past 60 years.

I also noticed something yesterday....it appeared that most season ticket holders had the seat backs. Think about it...if 10,000 season ticket holders at BDS paid the extra $45 for the seat backs, that's an extra $450,000 for the program and after the first year, it's 100% profit. The little add ons add up and will only help our program.

I have a question about this. I asked before, but no one answered. What is the great need to stand? I like to stand, and I get up on the tip top of the stadium to do that, so I won't block anyone's view. But that's just because I don't like sitting all the time. If someone were behind me who didn't want to stand, I would respectfully remain seated. I can make as much noise sitting as standing.

But, I must also note that one may need to stand because the person in front of him/her is standing and he can't see unless he does. That's the flip side of the issue which makes for no clear resolution.

Never really thought about it like that. I am typically respectful to those behind me but do like to stand on critical plays or during big plays.

I find it enjoyable to stand at sporting events and helps open up my diaphragm especially for those of us that work at our desk jobs during the week. The game is a good outlet for a lot of things :)

I feel more engaged with the game when I stand. You hang on every down more and contribute to homefield advantage more when you’re standing. And homefield advantage makes a difference - the game Friday was close enough that UGA fans noise might have made the difference in the game result. They caused our offense lots of communication issues and the intensity of the various moments forced some irrational decision making by our players. The energy also seemed to help will the UGA players into the game when many of them seemed disinterested and looking forward to the SECCG in the first half.

Simply GFY. Home field advantage is so important. If you are okay with kicking fans out over trying to give the home team advantage, then you are the problem. Did you make the trip to Athens? Seriously GFY.
LOL. This guy is on ignore. I don’t think he’s hit 13 years old yet.

Did you go to Athens and support your team on the road? I’m 31 man. I honestly don’t think I could tell someone I liked to be a Tech fan at the moment. The alumni treats sidewalk fans like dog****. Security treats fans like dog****. All of this while we average 35k a game.

I just don’t think I’m the problem.

GT alumni do treat sidewalk fans poorly. That is a shame. Glad you are a GT fan. Bring your friends to GT games next year.
