I don't think Shamire played. We actually seemed to block better when Cooper replaced Burden. I think we ought to go that way the rest of this season.

Go Jackets!

Agreed. I don't think Cooper is better but it just seemed like UVA jumped the snap constantly when Burden was in. He had to be tipping the count somehow.

I think Burden may have still been hurt. I think the snap count thing is just part of our O.

Well, I think he must have been hurt; he played one series at the end of the half. My guess: they weren't going to play him, then they tried him, and it turned out they were right. Just like with Freddie.

And, yes, I thought he earned a start too. I hope both are back at full strength this week. If ever there was a game where we needed both, it's next week.

IIRC, I am a b 2 might be connected to Shamire, so he might have inside knowledge.

Played field goal team and 1 snap. He helps y'all win vt and this is what sewack does and everyone s OK with it? 43 snaps - 1 in a week. I'm not even mad anymore , ,over it. Go Jackets beat the dogs. Great game guys everyone looked flawless feels good to win.

I'm with you. Shamire deserved to start and we would have had a much easier time of it with him out there. But that's coaches for you; fair treatment isn't their forte. Whatever Shamire did, I hope he made amends and starts again at Ugag.

I would like to see Cooper start and rotate Bryan, Burden, Devine, and Marshall at OG accordingly. Rotate Cooper and Burden if need be.

Sorry not following why you would want Burden ( a center) and Marshall ( a tackle ) to rotate at OG.
I'm sorry I meant Braun instead of Marshall. I remember CPJ sayin earlier in the year something about Burden could play OG and playing Marshall at center if the need would arise, now that Cooper has been holding his own at center I believe Devine, Cooper and Burden would be a mean interior. Rotating Braun and Bryan in and out to give the other 3 a rest with very little drop off in ability.

I guess I understand what you are saying , but we are at the end of the season . Maybe next year and I know Burden will not be here next year. But to play someone in a Position he has not played all year , the OL needs to play together , maybe next year we can with most the OL coming back

I don't know where Cooper will end up. I could see Marshall going back to center - it's his first and best position from what we hear. That would mean moving Cooper to guard and Will back to tackle. So it could be Klock, Devine, Marshall, Braun, and Bryan across the front, with Lee as first reserve at tackle and Perry at guard/center. I like that lineup a whole lot for next year; I think Will is out of position at guard. But it's anyone's guess.

The main thing is that in the spring we'll have options all over the place with experienced OLs to fill them. Perhaps the Almighty knows what will end up happening, but my guess is that he'll be watching on the sidelines just like everyone else.
