Looking forward to the start of the season, pitching is going to be key for us (duh, like everyone). I really wish Josh had stayed. Which got me to thinking about where all our draftees from the last two year are.

One played in MLB - Buck. Two are done probably; Daniel Spingola and Sam Dove. I never realized there were so many levels of minor league ball.

21 days to Beesball. With our other BBall team, it can't come soon enough.

I thought Spingola decided to return

If he did that's great. But he was listed as a Senior who had played three years. Nothing on the GT site.

BTW, here's the sort I used for all GT players drafted since '65 and their careers. What is so neat is you can do the link for any player and get his GT and MLB stats.

Since we're waiting on baseball..whats everybody's play on flat-seamed balls this year?

http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/ncaa-to-switch-to-flat-seamed-balls-in-2015/

Great article. Good that we are going to see more offense this year (flat seam). Hope we see the livelier core too soon. We need more scoring - 5 to 8 run average but not back to the 10+ average. Right now it's like watching a soccer match thriller at 1-0 final score (or VT-Wake 3-6 after two overtimes).

I'm wondering if the ACC will make the switch and what team(s) will do so?

Eric, is this something you or someone on the staff can look into with our coach?

Nuke when ya going give us a season preview? :)

When the "spirits" tell me to. (The keg is dead and I'm going to wait till Beesball to get another. But I have a plan B.)

I'll start a thread once we get the roster. Many people on here know a lot more than I do. But I like surfing the web during the games ..... we are really lucky to have one of the best baseball programs in the country. One of these days we'll do well in the CWS.

Just a couple of things about this year schedule:

1) We have 31 home games. Marquee match-ups are UNC, Virginia, ND, Pitt, Uga, Mercer, Kennesaw State, Georgia State, Liberty, St. John's

2) Our renewed rivals are Auburn, Clemson and Notre Dame.

3) Tech will not play F$U, NC State and Wake Forest this year.

4) Louisville and ND are first time conference foes.

5) 23 games are against nine teams that reached last year's NCAA Regional

6) ACC Championship games are at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park Durham, NC

7) NCAA Regional play begins May 29
