Turnovers. I don't know how many times I have watched bad snaps out of the gun in a crucial game. I know you can get that under center, but that is the reason the Victory formation is under center.

I actually thought a poster on TigerNet captured it well last week, in their weeping following their beatdown on the Flats.

"The problem," he wrote, "is that their offense doesn't depend on a superstar at any one position."

And that's why the talking heads and casual fans say it's boring. Because it depends on timing and execution, and not individual athletic performance, it's hard to anticipate who the "star" is going to be. For Tech fans, of course, this is not a bug, but a feature...

100% agree. We don't need superstars, just but high levels of competence at all positions is needed. If everyone does their job, someone will be open by the scheme. Not open as much because of talent level as by scheme.

What we are seeing is our first and second string are highly competent and doing their job. In previous years there were problems with the OL which we aren't seeing this year. And the ABs didn't block as well. And we couldn't pass protect as well / have as mobile and accurate a QB .....

But our team with 8 4/5 star players recruited in the last 5 years beat the team with 40 4/5 stars. (They lose one and whine.) We could have lost JT and Byerly would have stepped in just fine IMHO.

We don't quite suck as much anymore.

I never understand why when it is 3rd or 4th and inches that teams will snap the ball 6 yards backwards.
I'll add that it is the most frustrating thing in the world in fantasy football when you have Matt Forte at the 1. A running back that good and they hand him the ball 6 yards back with absolutely no forward momentum.

Last night Texas Tech ran the victory formation from a short shot gun formation. First time I have ever seen it done and it was strange

This reminds me that I never saw anyone point it out but in Tech's game against Clemson their center kept sending back terrible shotgun snaps to Stoudt all game long. I kept waiting for him to sail a snap over his head.
