Georgia Tech volleyball plays UCLA on Friday

Georgia Tech volleyball will go up against UCLA on Friday in its sold-out match at O’Keefe Gymnasium as part of the GT Invitational. Luanna Emiliano, senior setter, and Bianca Bertolino, senior outside hitter, answer a few questions about the coming season.

It would have been if we played better. Overall we were just too inconsistent. We had players that could do no wrong at times and then all of a sudden they couldn't hit anything. Just very up and down and frustrating to watch because we were clearly the better team. For the most part our setters did ok although the timing on some sets could have been better. I was impressed with Velez as libero. She is a very talented replacement for Pimentel.

We destroyed them in Set 2 and 3. Everything else was closer. The final set was 16-14. UCLA was really long and when they were on, we weren't good enough defensively. We looked somewhat predicable too.

All, where are you? We destroyed NMST. It wasn't even a contest. Stumbled in the 3rd set, but the other three weren't even close. This team needs to figure out how not to lose focus. That happened against UCLA and NMST.
