I picked Virginia Tech by a couple of touchdowns. They have a shot at the Coastal Division title and have played much better of late. Our chances will be better, in my opinion, if we see Patterson at quarterback instead of Hooker. Patterson is huge, a Logan Thomas clone so to speak, but his passing leaves much to be desired and while big he is not the most nimble afoot. Hooker, in my estimation, when he is healthy is a much more polished quarterback in comparison. Virginia Tech has shown flashes of the old Bud Foster defense this year but have had lapses as well. I know we are at home and are coming off our best performance but the fact is that we have beaten the spread only once or twice, we have injury issues and I have no confidence in either our special teams or our offensive coordinator. Others are more optimistic and are entitled to their opinions which may be vindicated. I think our team still has a long way to go to being a good team even by the modest standards of the Coastal Division.
