I’m sorry but this is awful
I suspect we would all agree a win in any uniform color scheme is the goal. But I sure do miss the Navy color shirts with gold helmets/white logo and white pants look.I don’t even know what to say about this one. I really don’t get why we keep wearing helmets with only an outlined logo. Why are we wearing blue pants again? I really thought those would’ve died. If we’re gonna wear blue why isn’t it the blue jersey. G/N/W is our 2nd most iconic uniform behind G/W/G and we haven’t worn it once with the current uniform set. The last time we wore it in a game was 2018 vs. Clemson. I thought with Key our uniforms would become more, well, uniform. Now I think our visual identity is more scattered and inconsistent than it’s ever been, which quite honestly is impressive given our history with funky uniform designs and decisions. These are money, and by far our best alternate look. Why don’t we ever see them? So much better than white over blue.

And I will be writing one embracing our use of navy. It looks awesome.I think the only way to make this stop is to flood Batt's mail box with handwritten letters. Mine will be going out first thing Monday. Don't underestimate the effect of a handwritten letter.
We must be heading in the right direction if these would be the three most important questions you would want to.If I lived in Atl, I would go to the Brent Key live radio show and ask 3 questions.
1. Who decided on blue pants?
2. When did that person receive their pink skip?
3. When is the bonfire to burn the things?
I don’t really think the use of navy is what gets people up in arms, it’s the navy pants. Navy pants make zero sense to me, especially with the white jersey. Most football uniforms look better when the pants either match the helmet, or are a lighter color. Even when you disregard the entire white & gold vs. navy argument, Light/Light/Dark in 3 different colors is probably the worst possible combination for a football uniform. I can’t think of a single iconic uniform throughout football history that follows that formula. The Saints wear G/W/B sometimes and it’s objectively their worst combination. And I will be writing one embracing our use of navy. It looks awesome.
But he WINS MORE GAMES. And here I though that was the main point of playing football.(Oh and would you look at that, a helmet logo you can actually see. Key’s staff may actually be worse than Geoff when it comes to uniforms)
You’re right. But this is the uniform thread on the uniform and color forum for the uniform and color team. If I wanted to talk about winning football games I’d go join an Alabama board, who coincidentally never messes with their uniforms. But he WINS MORE GAMES. And here I though that was the main point of playing football.
I'll disagree here. Geoff wore combos where it wouldn't even have gold as a primary base, WNW and WWN for example.I don’t really think the use of navy is what gets people up in arms, it’s the navy pants. If we’re gonna wear navy I think most folks would be perfectly fine with navy tops and either white or gold pants. We haven’t worn the navy tops once since 2022, but we’ve worn navy pants (which are objectively our worst look) multiple times since then. It just really doesn’t make any sense. Even when we wore navy tops with white helmets it didn’t look bad. Not exactly Tech-like, but still much better than navy pants in any shape or form. If we’re gonna wear navy I’d much rather it be jerseys than pants, but the navy jersey seems to have disappeared for some reason.

Have you seen those incredulous looks he gives reporters when he doesn’t think what they asked was valuable? If I lived in Atl, I would go to the Brent Key live radio show and ask 3 questions.
