@_andrewcarter: UNC RB Elijah Hood, WR Kendrick Singleton listed as doubtful for the Georgia Tech game on Saturday.

Hood is the starting RB...a power back.

Elijah Hood not playing would be a huge break for us. He's exactly the type of back that I can see giving us trouble.

Part of me wants hood to play so we can see how we do and get prepped for games vs Pitt n UGA w big backs. The other part that just wants 6-1 will take every advantage we can get.

Masochist! I'd like one game where we jump on someone and just cruise. Probably ain't gonna happen this weekend. Even with Hood out, their #1 back, Williams is still in. But UNC is primarily a passing team. Again to Williams.

When was the last time we shut down a passing team? I would love for this to be a statement game by our D but I am not holding my breath.

Living in NC during football season is a surreal experience. Today's N&O, the local paper for UNC, does not mention the game. At all! There is a story about NC State basketball and UK being ranked #1, but nothing about UNC's home game against GT.

This is a HUGE game for both teams! For us we have to win to keep our coastal hopes alive and get confidence back to start the second half of the season. For the Tar Holes they have their backs to the wall just to get to a bowl and for Fedora to keep his job. They will be playing balls out.... This one scares the crap out of me.... I think we win in a shootout though.

Emotional losses can either fire you up to play your best, or sink you into malaise like what happened to us against MTSU. I'll take curtain #1 for us and curtain #2 for the Holes, Alex!

This situation should be different than MTSU. We played well the week before that game and came up short of winning. We did not play well at all last week.

I think you should say against Miami. Oh wait, that is what you do mean right? The emotionally draining game was week before against Miami and so the malaise game against MTSU as a result? I agree with that. Although I can say that Tevin did not play in a malaise against MTSU . . . (just to jump on my hobby horse). But the Miami game was where I wanted heads to roll and was only placated a couple games later when Groh was canned.
