I just keep hoping that Terry and Ndongo are that much of a difference makers that we forget about this game as the season progresses.
We know Terry can play, and we hope that Ndongo can.I just keep hoping that Terry and Ndongo are that much of a difference makers that we forget about this game as the season progresses.
True but they shouldn't be the difference between winning and losing vs this team.I just keep hoping that Terry and Ndongo are that much of a difference makers that we forget about this game as the season progresses.
Not crazy about the statement, "I know what I signed up for and I'm still committed." That sounds ominous to me. A few explanatory words might be helpful. Is it roster imbalance? Talent level? Patchwork transfer lineup? Bad fundamentals? Poor S&C? All of the above? If so, what is the plan to address it?
Super laid back. Wonder if team is playing off his energy.
Anyone who expected an NCAA Team has paid zero attention the GT BB the past decade. We have been to one NCAA as an 8/9 seed. The past 2 years we have major losing Conference records. We brought in a few decent players but this team has a long way to go to be a .500 team. They might get there this year yet. They are not going to the NCAAs.
Makes sense. Sacko is a difference maker especially on defense, he needs to play a lot. Gapare and Abram are playing really poorly. Lineups 1 and 4 look like our best bet to win games right now.One game sample, but the first 2 lines here are certainly striking.

As for Stoudamire’s strategy I don’t know. My guess was that he sees more upside with the group he’s starting and wants to develop them, but early returns don’t look good.
Based on what I have seen so far, we better hope CDS can recruit. I feel like I am watching pick up basketball. On defense do we play anything but man to man? We are getting killed inside. On offense it literally looks like street ball. I hope I'm wrong but not overly impressed so far.
High scoring teams always give up a lot of points because of the speed of play and increased shot attempts by both teams. I'm just glad we no longer play zone defense. That was nonsense. Bobby Knight was once asked when it was appropriate to play zone defense. He said, "As little as possible."In my very humble opinion, he needs to assign, or hire, a defensive minded assistant. 80 points per game should suffice, even when Kelly is off mark. At least Pastner's defense was decent.
And yet “As little as possible” doesn’t (shouldn’t) mean none. Maybe Knight feels differently, and perhaps CDS does too, but there is benefit to switching up defenses. Im by no means advocating for full Boeheim, but some zone can be disruptive and negate some physical advantages.High scoring teams always give up a lot of points because of the speed of play and increased shot attempts by both teams. Untrue. The NBA doesn't play defense. LOL. But they do rebound
