I believe portal and NIL will change (destroy?) CFB as we currently know it...For example, QB at Ohio State gets $1.4mm NIL...and Alabama QB, who has never taken a snap, gets $1mm.
How do we compete with that? (Answer...Can't)
But one place current portal rules work for GT is at OL... Empirically proven that OL guys are highest academic performers, by position...so....
....4th and 5th year OL who are marginal NFL pros looking to 1) improve their draft stock...or, as smarter guys already and if the NFL doesn't happen.... 2) set themselves up for $$$ success post-FB...which is GT's #1 selling point
We will reload at OT and OG every year using the portal...even better than the factories.....

Well, if you've got a small business that needs to get your name out there it seems like the perfect opportunity to make a difference!

Speaking of that...are there any limits to the NIL rules? Could, for instance, a local craft brewery get a 19 or 20 year old player to represent the brand? How about a gambling site? Seems like there should be some limitations, but I'm not aware of any.

One of the Texas fan boards is asking members for donations to establish a NIL fund for the tight ends. They have a promo called "Burnt Ends." Seriously.
