I watched the UGAg vs Clemson game last night. The TOP was almost even, but the deep reserve of running backs for UGAg took it's toll on the Clemson D. This was almost a repeat of what happened to us last year. Our D got gassed and could not stop the run.
What does this mean for Tech? I think we are going to be forced to play aggressively on defense and control the game with our offense. In order to beat UGAg, Clemson, and Miami, we will have to own the TOP stat. It looked like we were gassed yesterday by the 4th. This is really more of a lack of depth rather than conditioning. We will have to put some teams behind early and allow our D to pin their ears back in the second half if we are going to have a chance against the big guys on our schedule.
