He explained why after the game. He said that the issue with such a big rivalry game is that the coaches have a hard time getting the players to just calm down concentrate and execute. He said in several ways how completely amped up the guys were and how frenetic and basically ADD it made them play at first. Then he said he is a big believer that the demeanor of the coaches is a huge influence on how the players practice and play and that he will therefore not change his tune about it only being one game and therefore cannot define a season win or lose. He is a very calculating coach and always has a reason specific to influencing his players in how he approaches or talks about anything publicly.

@Bruce Wayne - Heard the same thing this morning on 680 interview around 8:30 this morning. stated that they have to keep the players from being to amped and not able to think/play well because of it.
