Tickets from Stubhub - pdf

Friends of mine bought tickets from stubhub. I keep reading that we must add the tickets to our Apple wallet or the android equivalent, but I’m not sure if they have that option. Will they still have the scanners at the gate for them to scan the pdf from the phone?

I have used PDF on my phone in past seasons. If you are really worried you can go old school and print them out as well. They will just scan the bar code.
