We signed a ton of talent. I'll get more excited after the draft and we know who is actually coming. My problem with Scout and Perfect Game rankings are they only count who signs and not who actually shows up after the draft. They need to redo their rankings after the draft. But I guess there is no market for that.

If we do like this year where we kept two top 100 commits, we'll be in great shape. But that has been the exception ...... https://gtswarm.com/threads/ranking-our-2015-class.7058/ and I don't blame the kids given the singing bonus is so much higher coming out of HS, then as a Jr and when you are a Sr you don't get ****.

Regardless, this class should help continue to have baseball be the highest ranked major varsity sport (football, basketball, baseball) at GT.

I hope the team can gel quickly. It seems we havent had a connection the past 2 seasons or that ONE guy who was the leader. Jake Davies seemed to be the real last leader.
Even though Daniel Palka seemed to want to take charge. I think Jake was really looked up to by the underclassmen. Especially during the 2012 ACCS where he was on fire!

Great to hear about Wiseman - came off a good summer with a 1.59 ERA. And control looked good with 21 SO to 5 walks. It was the Valley League, but still good progress. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=patrick-wiseman

I shouldn't get my hopes up so much, but our pitching may be really good this year. As Hall said in this article, “I think the big thing that sticks out for me right now is that we have a lot more pitching depth than we had last year, at least it feels like it,” he said. “I just remember last season and just looking at elite talents like Josh Sborz (at Virginia) and realizing how special it is to have guys like that. I feel like we potentially have a few of those type of players on our team this year.”
