Temps will be near freezing....we've played and won in that weather....they haven't. We have nothing to lose in that game and they have everything.

I plan on posting a picture of the scoreboard on here early Saturday morning showing the final score before they have a chance to erase it.

Say it with mell With georgia!
I believe the phrase goes the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. The a$$ sniffers are not that scary and Tech is way overdue to kick the $hit out of them. 2024 it is!!!

They put their britches on one leg at a time, just like the Jackets. They're a strong opponent but I've seen better, and I think Tech is dangerous. Kirby has sense enough to tell them that, but are they smart enough to listen? I doubt it. If the team plays as hard as it did against Miami, I give the White and Gold a 50/50 shot at walking out of Sanford Stadium with sprigs of privet hedge behind their ears.

For us this games is like a championship.

They are thinking we are a better u mass.

But our defense has grown axx angry men in the trenches. Lb and db are becoming agressive. The defense can get turn overs and make them nervous.

If Philo can scramble we can move the ball. Hopfully key will wait till end when we are ahead try to prove we can just run the bawl.
Philo is a dude. Let him work.

For us to win Haynes King needs to shock uga with some effective passing. Doesn't have to be much to open up run game.

Team win is what will show Gt is dangerous and make us get better a lot faster.

Also in 68 or 69 uga purposely reinjured Larry Good s knee with a targeted hit, Since then i knew why THWG is true.

I disagree. But more importantly, you seem to be very pessimistic. Be positive for God’s sake. You be surprised how much it helps. If players feel like they can win they perform better. Fan attitude helps with this.
Let's be honest. October 12th was the last time we saw King actually throw a pass. He has played the past 2 weeks and not thrown a real pass down field.

GT produces logical thinkers that look at facts. The facts say King is not healthy and can't pass as College QBs need to pass.

That is not pessimistic, it is fact based realism. It is not hope, which after 29 years in the Army, I understand "Hope" is not a viable Strategy!

We would all love if King magically was cured and able to play at a 100% level.

I'm a tech grad (ME '84) and big tech fan and UGA hater (despise them). All that being said, is there any rational reason why we can expect to win? I realistically expect UGA to embarrass us (beat us by more than 4 TDs). Offensively, we seem to be near awful and so expect UGA to beat the brakes off of us next Saturday in Athens. Am I missing something? Is there any rational reason to really expect Tech to win?
Because they aren't dominat and loaded with nfl talent like their 2 natty teams not saying they don't have any that be just lying, but there is no like guy who is clear cut wow and we have been fighting our *** off all season. Plus we have house money so we can run all sorts of whatever we want. I expect the 2 QB system again, but I've said we would win all season we're just due plus they're gonna be thinking about that sec title it'll creep in the back of their heads they have disipline problems so there is no world where they won't be thinking about that. I have us 30-27.

If we play the UGA team that played vs UMass in the first half, we are heading into halftime up 14.

I really don’t think we need to act like they’re superior in every way anymore.
The SEC as a whole this year is showing that talent is dispersing and that games are about who is showing up and which way the ball is landing.

Key’s tech shows up to this game like it’s the Super Bowl. It’s up to Kirby to convince those uglys that they need this

Why can we win?

1. It's a rivalry and weird **** happens
2. It's no longer a play-in game for Georgia
3. I was listening to their radio broadcast post UMass and for the first time since 2016 there is fear in their voices. It's muted and hidden behind "if we don't show up the enemy can beat us" but it's there.
4. Philo can win this, and King taking any snaps will energize the team.
5. We are up and down on running the ball, but the backs had to watch that game and start salivating
6. We have played in cold weather, they haven't.
7. I think Key wants this more than Kirby, I feel it in my bones and I think the kids will respond.

If they were “smart enough”, the u(sic)ga football team wouldn’t be ranked 259 out of 260 NCAA teams for graduation success rate.

Their defense struggles to set the edge and they know it. They’re probably going to try to shut that and our zone rush attack down 1st. Philo needs to get in a rhythm early so our run game has space. Beck can be affected with pressure, but our secondary is going to have to play a near perfect game to stop the big plays through the air. This game is winnable and Key is going to have us amped up. Let’s do this!

Hopefully all the secret ingredients will go into the sauce our coaches are cooking up for this one.

The mutts lead the county in dropped passes....you think that will improve in near freezing weather?

So, Georgia has more talent & depth overall than we do. They should be favored, and they are. But they're very beatable this year. In fact, this is the first time since 2016 where I feel we actually have a chance. Let's look at Georgia's problems this year:

1) They start slow offensively in almost every game. They struggled to get their offense going in the first half in almost every game. Even their Texas win was mostly the defense creating turnovers & big plays. Tennessee had them down 10-0 early. Clemson had them in a struggle, 6-3, at half. They were behind until the 4th quarter against Kentucky. They were down 30-7 at halftime against Bama. Even against UMass, it was 21-14 until very late in the first half.

2) They drop a lot of passes. Their receivers are not great. They have some talent. But they don't have Bowers and McConkey anymore. There's no one that consistently takes the top off of a defense. Now, in the last two games, they've improved. But we're not facing 2018 Clemson or something. Those guys drop a lot of catchable balls, and it affects Carson Beck's confidence.

3) Carson Beck is just not that good. He was better last. This year, he's a turnover machine. If we can rush him, he starts to get happy feet, and he misses guys who are open, or he throws it to the other team.

4) Their running backs are injured and they're down to just using freshmen in the backfield. And they don't run the ball as well as they used to. Nate Frazier is very good. But he's young and still learning his position. He's not Nick Chubb or Sony Michel. And Trevor Etienne is injured. Their OL struggles to establish the LOS for a running game.

5) Their defense doesn't tackle well. UMass ran all over them. Kentucky ran through their tackles. Many teams have run the ball against them, and broken their tackles consistently. If we had a healthy Haynes King, I think our offense would shred them. We still might with the 2-headed QB monster or with Philo.

6) They struggle with mobile QB's. Milroe shredded them. Jaxson Dart did as well. They do better against statue QB's. Philo is more of a pocket passer. But I hope his light-bulb that came on late against NC State - wrt running the ball - stays on.

7) They don't play complete games. They've just played good halves. Their best halves were the 2nd half of Clemson, 2nd half of Tennessee and 1st half of Texas. Other than that, their entire season has been a slog. This is a sign of a team that hasn't fully bought into what their coaches are telling them. I like a united Brent Key team against a UGA team that's still searching for a complete game.

They are beatable. This is not the '85 Bears we're facing, and they're not nearly as good as they've been over the last 7 or so years.

We will have to play a clean game. Philo will have to be ON, and the WR's need to catch whatever they can touch. I'm worried about their crowd at night. But we can make a game out of this.

My concern is Beck will throw for 400 yards. However, they have beaten themselves a couple of times this and almost a couple more times against lesser teams. We can do it, but Beck’s performance is critical. I’d go after him hard early and hit him on every play. Put thoughts in his head.

And given all that they beat Clemson, Texas and Tennessee. Three pretty good wins. Lost to Alabama and Ole Miss both on the road.

They aren’t as good as the past 2 years but they are very good and comfortable playing tough games.

We can win but it will take a lot going our way.
