Yea they dominated Texas and Tennessee. You watch those games? Why do we let a post like this exist? Have you watched any UGA game this year?

I'm a tech grad (ME '84) and big tech fan and UGA hater (despise them).
I'm not exactly "expecting" Tech to win, but yes, we have a shot.I'm a tech grad (ME '84) and big tech fan and UGA hater (despise them). All that being said, is there any rational reason why we can expect to win? I realistically expect UGA to embarrass us (beat us by more than 4 TDs). Offensively, we seem to be near awful and so expect UGA to beat the brakes off of us next Saturday in Athens. Am I missing something? Is there any rational reason to really expect Tech to win?
I won't deny that they're significantly better athletes, but if you've watched college football over the years you may have noticed the significantly better athletes don't always win. Georgia Tech under Brent Key has pulled off six upsets over teams favored by double-digits, three of them over teams favored by 20 points. That qualifies the Jackets as giant killers. Georgia is favored by just about 20 points. Are they the next victim?Yes, I've watched every UGA game, always pulling for the other team to win of course. They seem significantly better than GT this year. Just wanting to know if there is really a good reason to believe we might win (apart from just blind fandom and of course hoping we win.)
I can’t see King being a factor except on an occasional play or two. It will be a huge challenge for Philo. Expect UGA to try and take him out like FSU did back in the 1990s.I won't deny that they're significantly better athletes, but if you've watched college football over the years you may have noticed the significantly better athletes don't always win. I don't think Philo played against FSU back in the '90's.I can’t see King being a factor except on an occasional play or two. It will be a huge challenge for Philo. Expect UGA to try and take him out like FSU did back in the 1990s.
I disagree. But more importantly, you seem to be very pessimistic. Be positive for God’s sake. You be surprised how much it helps. If players feel like they can win they perform better. Fan attitude helps with this.I can’t see King being a factor except on an occasional play or two. It will be a huge challenge for Philo. When you point the finger 3 fingers are pointing back at you.You misspelled dwags.
THWG!Temps will be near freezing....we've played and won in that weather....they haven't. We have nothing to lose in that game and they have everything.
I plan on posting a picture of the scoreboard on here early Saturday morning showing the final score before they have a chance to erase it.
Say it with me...To Hell With georgia!

They are a better team than we are, but we’re a pretty good team. ESPN says we have a 10% chance to win. I don’t think we should expect a win, but I definently think we can win.I'm a tech grad (ME '84) and big tech fan and UGA hater (despise them). Probably the biggest issue is ball control - ideally we play a game like Miami where we slow the game down. Harder to do without King. If we get in a boat race I don’t like our chances.Key is going have the guys 110% for this game like he has been the past two years. Expect a new page or two from Faulkner like previous years as well.
Uga struggled to get things going against us last year, and they have been in general in every first half this year.
If we can get a jump on them, I think we have a really solid shot. Our defense has been pretty solid all year and will give us every chance. Philo just needs to keep dropping dimes
I take a win over them every day. I don’t care if they win a championship, that has nothing to do with us.Maybe they’ll overlook us for the SEC championship now lol.
Here’s a question that’s very possible: Would you take the win against them in exchange for them winning another natty this year? They could lose to us, and win the SEC Championship and still get in. Obviously I hope we beat them and they lose the next game (and the next. And the next…), but it would be kind of funny to hold us beating them over their head in a national championship season.
Oakland spelled it right. When you point the finger 3 fingers are pointing back at you.
