1.Kent Hill, Shaq, Billy Shaw
2. Maxie Baughn-LB-also played Ctr well , S Bedford
3.several plays in '14 uga and OB games
4. the LSU bowl game in dome, the uga beat down in '03? --I'm starting to retch

Billy Shaw was a Tech All American two way player from the early 60s. Drafted by the Buffalo Bills and was a 4 time All AFL player. Was selected to the all time Bills team. Retired right before the AFL NFL merger. He is the only player to be named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame that did not play in the NFL. He played exclusively in the AFL. Kent Hill was a great lineman from the 70s who started as a freshman as did Nat Dorsey. Man, those guys were something else. Tech has had a history of great linemen in the past especially centers and guards. Let's revive the tradition starting this year.

I don't think Kent started as a freshman.

I hear ya! Still wish Ted had done it to a bama player.

Funny thing about that 1961 Alabama game. Bear let Stallings give the pre game speech in which he said to the effect that Tech would hit you hard for about a half and then they would give out. Sure enough, Alabama came back from a half time deficit to win that year. A few years later, Texas A&M was playing at Grant Field with good old Gene Stallings as their coach. Half time it was tied and in the second half Tech ran them right off the field. It was the only time I have ever seen Coach Dodd deliberately run up the score. With just a couple of minutes left in the game Tech scored what was a clinching touchdown and then Dodd called for an onside kick ahead by about 4 touchdowns. Tech got the ball and with seconds to go threw a long touchdown pass. What goes around comes around.
