The 5 Best Bad Teams in College Football

Georgia Tech [3-7 (1-6)] Tech’s triple option took about five steps back with attrition. The Yellow Jacket defense is average. Paul Johnson’s team pulled off the Florida State upset. But, they have lost one-score games to Notre Dame, North Carolina, Pitt, UVA, and Virginia Tech. Duke only pulled away on a kickoff return TD and a one-yard TD drive. The only team that has beaten Georgia Tech with definition was Clemson on the road. Even that margin was padded with a fumble return TD.

I think what he's getting at is that we're probably better than our record (regardless of what the Bill Parcells fanboys say). And that's a reasonable position. I'm not sure it relieves the frustration of the season, but it probably explains why we're a pick 'em against Miami, and will probably be a small 'dog to UGA.

The take away from this is consistent with what CPJ has consistently shared...there is no lack of effort in this team...they fight to the end which to be candid folks is why I follow this team with great respect...

Such a strange year. Blow 21 and 14 point leads at home, lose at home on a 56 yard field only to win on a blocked FG return for a TD the following week against a top 10 undefeated team. Only one game we haven't been competitive in (Clemson) and another one where we were dominated for most of the 2nd half but fought back (Notre Dame). #1 and #4. Strange, strange, strange.

The best thing about this year's team is they never quit, even against #1 Ranked Clemson or # 4 Ranked Notre Dame, and the ONLY game we didn't have a legitimate chance of winning was against Clemson, in their stadium, in the rain. Looking back at this season, we might say that IN SPITE of all the injuries, and the fact we had to play so many inexperienced players, we put a very competitive team on the field and were only a few plays away from being a very good, and that with a year of experience under their belts, next season may end up being a replay of 2014 (assuming we don't have a repeat of the injuries we suffered this year).

Although this year has absolutely sucked I think this is going to a positive going into next year. So much youth got thrown into the mix this year that really shouldn't have seen the field. The game should slow down for them and hopefully everybody coming back with the staff included take a long look in the mirror and come out with a chip on there shoulder with something to prove. Next year we will be back to the same old preseason prediction. Middle of the pack Coastal Divison pick plus hearing about how our offense is figured out and we can't handle success. Easier schedule + a pissed off CPJ and a hungry team with something to prove = 9 or more wins.
