Haha @awbuzz, I've been watching this carefully since you reported it. They recently released a version of Tapatalk for Android that included a permanent fix for the original problem so Android users should be good to go now.

Fwiw, I uses the forum on my android phone without any additional app like tapatalk. It works fine, imo. I suspect the basic forum software now is better than a few years ago.

@John - thanks for the update regarding their update!

Tapatalk does make it a lot easier to easily keep up with new posts, etc. when away from a PC. Granted just one man's opinion
