I show 12 guys currently listed at the Tackle position. If you add this to the Guard and Center list, we have 24 prospects for 5 jobs. We can almost go 5 deep in a perfect world. I know all 24 are not top notch performers but close to half of them either are or are on their way to being top performers. There is no reason for us not to have a solid 2 deep offensive line this coming season. Here are the guys I have in the order I have them ranked currently:
Bryan Chamberlin, Junior 291 Lb.
Chris Griffin, Sophomore 275 Lb.
Errin Joe, Senior 285 Lb.
Eason Fromayan, Sophomore, 290 Lb.
Trey Klock, Freshman, 273 Lb.
Jake Stickler, Freshman 263 Lb.
Michael Preddy, Freshman 274 Lb.
Will Bryan, True Freshman, 270 Lb.
Kyle Stallard, Junior 270 Lb.
Michael Muns, Junior, 271 Lb.
Trey Smith, Freshman 255 Lb.
Mitchell Williams, Sophomore 236 Lb.
The top 3 played a lot last year and probably will continue in a 3 man rotation. Fromayan saw the field a good bit as well. People were excited about Klock and the coaches thought about playing him last year. Stickler and Preddy appear to be more long term developmental type players. Bryan will have a tough time breaking through here and I expect he will redshirt unless he is just absolutely the best Tackle we have as a true freshman. The other 4 guys are walk ons and will provide scout team and emergency back up roles.
So we should be in great shape at the tackle position.
