Parker Brosius laying on the Cape. That's good news, but a little surprising to me.

Probably all of our juniors hope to get drafted. Some guys also just don't play summer ball when they are juniors.
I would think it quite likely that Cam Hill gets drafted. He has really performed well two years running on the Cape, and he has been good for us at times before quickly imploding. I truly think he has MLB potential if he pitch to his capabilities in a consistent manner. Some team will take a chance on that.

Following Northwoods and NECBL trying to track some of our guys. Sabathia made his debut with the Sharks tonight. I thought he was going to the Cape? Diamant has 2 HRs in 2 games. Anyone know if any of the transfers have landed anywhere yet?

If I was Cam I’d come back and be a weekend starter. He has the potential to increase his draft stock imo

You don't have any leverage as a senior though
Yeah, unless Cam has two years of eligibility left (I can't keep up with how much eligibility these guys have right now with the Covid rules) he would not increase his draft stock unless he improved to 1st round status somehow. He might improve his draft position, but not the size of a potential bonus.

Cam came in 2022 so I don't think he has that Covid year.

you don't have much leverage when you haven't done very good.
He's a 6'6 lefty that throws in the low to mid 90s with a nasty breaking ball. He has not been what we expected at Tech but his performance in the Cape plus his measurables usually get drafted anyways.

Update on Cape League stats:

Parker Brosius - 35 PAs, 250/441/417 slash line (remember, wood bats), more walks than strikeouts
Cam Hill (likely to be drafted) - 2 starts, 6 innings, 7 hits, 8 runs, 7 earned, 4 Ks, 6 BBs, 3 WP
Drew Burress - 1 for 26 start, 9 Ks in 34 PAs
Carsten Sabathia - 2 for 11, no walks or XBHs
Tate McKee - 2 appearances, 1 start, 4.2 innings, 5 hits, 4 runs, 4 earned, 6 Ks, 2 BBs, 0 WP
Riley Stanford - 3 appearances, 6 innings, 9 hits, 6 runs, 4 earned, 10 Ks, 1 BBs, 2 WP
Kyle Lodise - 28 PAs, 261/370/435 slash line, 9 Ks
Luke Schmolke - 2 appearances, 5.2 innings, 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 6 Ks, 3 BBs, 2 WP

Observations:
Wow, I didn't expect to see Burress' numbers and struggles so far. I guess he is human after all.
Stanford has good peripherals (10:1 K/BB ratio, 52% K-Rate), 1 homerun. His BABIP must be really high (estimated by me to be .471)
Looks like Hill is struggling with command. 6 BBs in 6 innings, and 3 wild pitches.
