I don't like it one little bit that two potential - nah, they'll start - OLs are out and that Jones, who was developing as a real force at DT, and Manley, who was also coming along, are out too. But that's the way it is sometimes. And Hosley is apparently ok.

It also tells us that these players put in playing time while injured. That's the way to step up, guys. Get well, why don't you?

Key s first hyundai spring blab
What
Core values, complementary ball, toughness, got the loyal staff, must stop run, .......
Apple pie!

HOW: players must improve, we made progress getting bigger. Will establish the starting qb only when its right time - all are tough - guys are known. New guy showing tough hard worker.

Schemes will be player driven. But we are going to get better at each position. We are tweaking what we did. Watching biggs to see if they can stay off ground. Felt we 2025 didnt devlope young guys in early games. Will accelerate guys development.

Last year leaders were seniors. This season 11 guys are selected.

Alberto - fits , throws, we are not a run qb team. HK is alpha type.

Still building recruiting staff.
Increasing use of studies to make players available. ( giant foam helmet) a number of guys getting over post season (ac is most common ) surgery.

Key says coaching them hard

ABSOLUTELY.You can spin it all you want about developing players but that is small compared to having FOUR probable starters having serious enough injuries to sit out esp on the OL thar requires a lot of coordination..

Whew! Reading between the lines, first few statements, he was really ticked at what was going on last year.
ETA: We got a staff he can trust, we got bigger on both lines, and he will name a starter at QB as soon as it becomes evident. In first 8 minutes.

So is it official now? Buster torpedoed our season last year?

More like we didn't get better as the season progressed, just had an easy enough schedule it didn't bite us until the end. He wants to lean on opponents when we get a lead, that requires an OL who is powerful and tough, not finesse. Spacing inside the red zone dictates the timing plays aren't as effective. Gotta be able to move the pile. On defense, as he said: stop the run. We do those things and close out games last year, we would've been in the playoffs.

All talk until the season starts. This season will be a challenge to win 9 games.

He never threw anyone under the bus. But it was clear where the tread marks were,
if you're half way good at coach speak. He mentioned that we didn’t get better at certain positions, the defense has been simplified, not being ready at the first snap, and the inability to make a third and one.

Glad key is publicly saying what we hoped he saw. The redzone flat exploited the ineffectiveness of the design of the system.

As i mentioned. I expect keys O hire to run more under center and 12 personnel in offsets than we have. Then we can lean on people more effectively over the year.

Obviously new staff doesn't guarantee better results but it's nice to hear the same thing from inside as we saw and discussed from outside about certain things stalling out all year long, in areas where the relevant coaches are no longer around...

Buster is a play caller and when they quit working against quality coaches, key said wtf. It's a mutual separation, IMHO, no I'll intentions

Key is a hugger, grinder, a motivating, hardworking guy. We
TFG was an idiot.
We needed a builder. Key has been perfect.

Now , Key basically just said it's on me for failure of the oc and dc to devlope players early in season.
However, the ol is 100% on key. The 2 centers who had potential both left. His favorite player (lt) who started as freshman has not stayed health. When his new 1000000 dollar favorie showed up to eat steak. the rt that played while his favorite lt was injured knew key would bench him once the the favorite was better. Other high star ol recruits have left. Now key has said the surgery will fix the LT the rich ol guy with no impact.
Will Key and the ol coach play anyone devloped in the spring from the depth chart? Lots of ol players and coaches have voted with their feet.
By end of 26 and in preparation for 27 we need a room full of ol guys that want to be at gt
