That first ranking of #80 is not in reverse order. It's the ranking of our offense in scoring%. We were actually pretty good in TD% but our FG% from the redzone knocked down our scoring % pretty good.

Our D did much better in keeping teams from scoring TD's from the redzone for the last few games.

After the UNC game I thought we were toast against teams like Clemson, uga, etc...they played a lot better. I feel the staff about maxed out what they could get from this group.

Can't believe we made it through this year with our DL staying healthy...Only one to miss a game was Green if I remember correct.

Gamble injury looked serious when it first happened.

And with all those dangerous cut blocks they face in practice, too.

I think Green missed the Climpson game which was probably our best defensive game. Imo, that was not because Green didn't play but because we used a lot more 3-man fronts. I may be wrong, but I think we played our best D when we used LB's as the 4th defender rushing the QB.

As I think of how many plays it seemed McNair made considering how few minutes it seemed McNair played, I can't help but think that we did not really maximize our D potential. But, I admit to be being even more novice in my understanding of D than O.

Good point on DL, that was one of my most serious concerns before season--we are not only small but have little depth esp at DT

you have got to have breaks to have a season like ours but-- it seems we were stronger this yr as mentioned before,we just did not poop-out toward end of games even on DL (and fewer injuries)-kudos to training staff

Roof did a good job of using his backups in the back seven and SDE. Good luck and kudos to training for the DTs and WDE as there was not much choice.

because you know they have to practice against the triple option everyday......not! suck it pollock
I don't think the point they r trying to make is that they practice against the option. I think it's that they face option players running a pro style offense. Which...more than likely isn't a representation of what they WILL see in the season. Same with pro style athletes trying to run our offense. They can't do it near as fast or crisp.
