I really enjoy the debates around the CFB playoff. Bottom line (for me)... the committee (or anyone who must 'pick') has an impossible task. Given the hand they are dealt (130 teams and only 12 game schedules), it is impossible for them or anyone [here] to manage to put together a 4, 12, 16 (whatever) team field without having to be subjective and emphasize some analytical metrics over others in order to rationalize the picks. There will always be the appearance of bias (real and perceived). Bias is impossible to remove.... even in a computer algorithm.
Sorry, but I cannot agree here. All they have to do is go with conference and division champs for a neat, 8-team playoff. No bias at all - it’s all played out on the field. If you aren’t in a conference, get in one (looking at you, ND). Conference losers need not apply.

P4 and G5/6 need to have separate playoffs. Perhaps a CFB Super Bowl could be arranged?

Fair. My comment presupposes the goal is a larger field with at-large teams in it. I happen to want that.

Adam Rittenburg discussing uSCe, "They have won five straight since a 2-point road loss to Alabama, recording definitive wins against No. 20 Texas A&M (home), Vanderbilt (road) and Oklahoma (road), and a narrow home win against No. 21 Missouri.".
How in the hel... is 6-5 Vandy or 6-5 oklahoma considered a definitive road win...

more espn drivel to support a non existent narrative.

I hope Dabo and the Anderson county jug playing band roast the baby gamecocks on Saturday.

I hope Dabo and his bunch don't pull a no show like they did in their opener.

Agree, we need Clemson, SMU, and Miami to win on Saturday for the perception of the ACC and possibly send 3 teams to the CFP. It is really difficult to forget (73-7) in 2020 and all the laughter and giggling by Trevor Lawerence on the Clemson sidelines, but we have little choice. This would hopefully help Commissioner Phillips in the Negotiation with ESPN on the contract look-In and also help on future negotiations concerning the ACC's cut of the CFP payout.

It goes without saying that we want the Jackets to Sting the PUPs.
