Thi$ i$ a $ign of the time$. Nothing more, nothing le$$.

That seems cynical. I'm sure Mr. Singleton has aspirations......

1. Hope he stays.

2. Seems to be a good kid so I’m not going to discuss any “problems” with his game.

3. Whether he stays or goes I hope he works on some “things.”

4. If he doesn’t want to be here it is better for all if he leaves.

5. I’m not all worried about this. At all.

Man I hope some of you guys get the chance to eat your words. He’s just in the portal, he hasn’t left yet. He isn’t looking for playing time, I haven’t heard anything about him being a bad teammate: he wants money. If we can match, he may be back. Don’t go sour grapes yet

I don't see anyone ripping on Singleton. I think most everyone that is even remotely saying anything negative is merely recognizing that he is probably in a better situation here than most schools that will be potentially offering him more NIL money.

I have little doubt that if he came to GT and was asking for more NIL and he was told no outright or offered a lesser amount than he wanted then the Coaches made that call. I trust the coaches.

He may garner a bigger NIL in the beginning but I doubt he is going to become a bigger part of any teams offense than he currently is at Georgia Tech. I don't see this as a good move for him in terms of NFL prospects or readiness.
This is my main gripe. Obviously won't blame him for getting the bag but this guy has 77 touches this year not including incompletions/drops.

I have to imagine that there are schools offering him both a lot more NIL and an opportunity to have more production. Here are his current numbers relative to the rest of the NCAA FBS. I am not posting this info to criticize our offense but to highlight that these are not numbers that top NFL prospects at the WR position usually have and maybe Eric feels he can raise a lot of these numbers elsewhere and get more money to do so.
  • His 56 receptions ranks him 71st among NCAA FBS wide receivers
  • He has 754 yards which ranks him 84th
  • He averages 4.7 receptions per game which ties him for 77th
  • He averages 13.5 yards/catch which is 164th
  • He averages 62.8 yards/game which puts him 85th

Not saying this is why he entered, but we did WAY more deep shots to him last year than this year.

That shouldn’t have been the case, completely underutilized.
I can think of about 4-5 deep shots he had this year that if he caught them wouldn't be a concern... Great talent but no one is perfect and he had a few drops that probably shouldn't have been

The rumor is that he's testing the market - he's not unhappy here, just looking to see what his value is. If the money is right and doesn't get matched or beat by GT's NIL, he's gone. Gotta pay to play these days. Good for him - he's gonna get paid either way - whether it's here or elsewhere.
