This is not a surprise to me. I expected this. I expect any future GT player that is expected to get drafted to shop around. We will keep losing good proven players if we cant afford them. So will plenty of other schools.
There are ~250 picks per year in the draft. Each team as 11 players on the field. So ~22 starters (lets say 25). The (top 10 nil teams) * (25 starters per team) = 250 players. Basically if money talks chances are that every draftable player will be on a top 10 team. We are not top 10 in NIL. If you look at this article, our NIL was ranked 44 at the time it was written.

So do unless NIL drastically changes expect this to happen every year. I dont think we will have many players drafted in the future. This is just being realistic. Players like Gibbs and Singleton should not be blamed for leaving. I am happy they chose Tech initially. This is the system of today.
IMO a nice change would be to force the school that the NIL player transfers to, to pay the school he is leaving a fee. Otherwise its the Top 12 NIL teams competing for championships and the rest of us are just a stepping stone school.
