Again, it depends. A QB sneak is a high percentage play inside the 10 ... Its a low percentage play midfield.

It's high percentage even at midfield if it's 3rd and inches.

I usually don't get in these hypothetical play calling discussions, but I've wondered about the occasional jet sweep with the motioning AB when he starts in the slot. Our rocket toss is typically what we do to get to the perimeter quickly, but a jet sweep where that motioning AB goes in more of a straight line directly behind the QB, who takes the snap and wheels quickly for the handoff might be a nice change up. Timing would be tough maybe, since we're under center, but intriguing nevertheless.

We already run a standard slot motion for our ab's when we run load option and run and shoot pass plays. We would just need to work on timing to snap/turn/hand off. It's a neat idea, but other than the surprise factor, I don't see what it gains you that the rocket toss doesn't accomplish better.

That was back when CPJ let the qb get hit in practices and scrimmages.

Yes, there is just too much traffic in there, particularly with our inconsistent and often awful blocking -- I really hope based on two weeks we really are better at it.
