SEC teams that have been ranked

LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee. There may be others, but these three are clearly mediocre at best, yet were in the top 20. Though not ranked, throw in Vandy, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Missouri, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. And I don't think much of Florida, but they are undefeated in conference play. Where is the dominating power conference we hear so much about?

I agree, they were overrated at #12 going in. But Clemson is strong, real strong. Who's going to beat them? Us? FSU? They look like the cream of our league right now.

I still think they stumble to an 8-4 record and wind up playing Duke in the Belk Bowl. The offense will still suck and the there may not be as many UT fans going to the bowl game as is usually expected. Anything over 6-6 and Butch keeps his job but a losing season and Butch could be shown the door.

This actually makes me feel worse that we are 0 - 1 vs sec right now.

Got one more regular season chance to make it 1 - 1.

ehh. SEC hype started to die down after the west **** the bed in the 2014 bowl season. Agree that those teams were overrated going in but LSU and tennesee looked good on paper and Miss state has 20/20 hindsight. Most advanced stats had them top 25 without preseason rankings heading into the uga game. I think the Big12 and Big10 look mighty underrated this year. 6/10 teams in the Big12 got a shot at being ranked and were all ranked at some point already this season.

Here is a list of the SEC out of conference losses thus far this season. Purdue, UCLA, Cal, Clemson, TCU, Michigan, and Troy. Actually it is pretty impressive except for Troy. But they are losing a lot more of their out of conference than they are used to.

IMO, throughout college football this season there isn't much parity.

Nebraska should've next left the big 12! One of my favorite games growing up was OU Neb.

Unfortunately, I am from the generation that only remembers the Big 12 when the OU Neb. game was not annual, instead we got Nebraska- Colorado.
