I started thinking about this year's schedule and then I looked at ACC standings. I know no one planned it this way, but our schedule has actually worked out pretty significantly in our favor this year.
We play the three top teams in the conference once each (no home and home). All three were on our court so we didn't have to play in Chapel Hill, Tallahassee or Louisville. Our home & homes are with 2 teams below us (Clemson & NCSU) one middle of the pack squad (ND) and one upper tier team (Cuse).
We only play 7 games against the top 6 teams in the conference and only 3 of those are on the road. Said differently, 6 of our 9 road games are against the bottom half of the conference.
The conference is stacked this year and all games are tough, but we actually caught a break in terms of schedule.
