SAT, Writing- - pass to play?

Currently, the NCAA doesn't use the writing portion of the SAT. Should the ACC propose a pass to play rule. SAs can enroll without it but can't play until they can write at some a agreed college minimum level.

What are the pros and cons?

Standardized tests are not a good way to assess ability. In many ways they're the best we have, but that doesn't make them good. If you want to make sure the kids are academically able, make the RS year mandatory, and evaluate the kids in your system.

Society today is relying way too much on standardized test and do forth. I see their point but I don't think adding anything else is needed
