That stuff is why a lot of NFL coaches prefer to stay in the NFL and not go into College Football

Yep. Medical hardships don't count against the 85 scholarship limit, but enable the school to still honor the scholarship for an athlete who has been injured and will no longer play any further. At one point Alabama was up over 125 scholarships when you factor in all that stuff. They have something like 3x the number of medical hardships as everybody else. Why people play there when there are other places where you can see the field, won't get cut, and have a better chance of making the NFL is beyond me. Its probably the fact that there is no school to worry about there.
