Looks like we will become among the best feeder schools for the big boys, who have the money. The growing disparity in football revenues will continue to accelerate the multi-tier separation between the haves and have-nots. Retention of talent is going to be a b**ch…
Parity is still there though. Teams can only assemble so much talent. We can take guys from the big boys who haven’t had a shot. And imagine what FIU fans think of us right now lol.

As a long time fan of Tech football and college football in general, In am saddened by the state of the game. I feel for CBK. It is like he became a head coach just at the wrong time. He does all of the right things and then the players just take off. I do not really blame the players as they are just taking money while they can. I guess I would have done the same at their age. And the coaches started it all with their big contracts. But I cannot see the fans staying with the game if this keeps up. The money culture is dragging the sport down. Where will the game be in five years?
The jury is still out on this grand experiment. Key is lucky in that he is paired with senior management at the school that appears to actually care about athletics. Perhaps the new environment will be conducive for GT? Remains to be seen. I have said it before, Key, Batt and Cabrera have captured our attention when other factors tend to make us want to cash in our chips. It's compelling drama. The next 5 years will determine whether anyone outside of the B10 or SEC actually give 2 ***** about the game. the rest of us will watch NFL for football and spend Saturdays doing whatever things the normal people have been doing on Saturdays for all these years.

Man, I did love this game. I'd have played for food money. It was the game...the sounds, the smells. Did you ever hold a ball or a glove to your face?

I used to love travelling on the trains from town to town. The hotels... brass spittoons in the lobbies, brass beds in the rooms. It was the crowd, rising to their feet when the ball was hit deep...

Shoot, I'd play for nothing!

I think this one stings so bad because it wasn't expected by so many of us. Gone are the days of being able to trust that you have anyone on the roster.

My 8 yr old son asked me why so many star players are transferring...I honestly don't want to tell him it's about money. SMH

High time GT start winning on the field like we win everywhere else.

This one sucks worse than losing Singleton. If I were a betting man, I’d put some cash on Haynes portalling this Spring when Ole Miss or Auburn throws a cool million at him. I’m just about done with semi-pro ball too.
Yeah. Bowl games are gonna be freshmen getting ready to get playing time for the next year so they can leave too. Senior day is going to be a thing of the past
