Me too. Unless they have a unique and special talent (world class oboe player, fluent in 7 languages, dangerous edge rusher, etc.) that will enhance the GT community and make us a more diverse and well rounded student body.

Yeah, I hate that he's leaving but I get it. As you laid out, there's more than one road to success and there's more than one path to a GT degree.

Believe it or not back in the day sometimes people got kicked out, came back a year or more later on severe probationary terms. A few hardy souls got kicked out twice. At least 1 person on here mentioned a stint in the Marines got their mind rite. Some of us were in the 5 or 6 year plan having skirted dismissal. It all worked out.
