My issue living in Michigan is do I waste my one weekend a year going to a close away game like Temple or come back home and hit a game at BDS. I love Atlanta and coming back but linking up with a group of fans at an away game is always a good time.
If you go to Philly.....check out McGillin's Ale House......opened in 1860, oldest pub in Philly.I’ll probably be doing Temple and Miami.
I have never really spent any substantial amount of time in Philly. I’ve driven through I’m pretty sure but would love to get some cheese steaks and check out some historical monuments. I also have a friend that lives where I do now that is from there so I may convince him to come back with me and show me around.
As far as Miami-one of my best old friends who I have recently reunited with after a 8-9 year hiatus is a huge Miami fan and is currently living in Islamorada. We’ll see though.
I've been to Clemson several times and I always get a kick out of how they spell CLEMSON over and over and over. The really funny part is that there is a small pause somewhere in the middle like they temporary forgot the correct spelling and had to think about it.Just got back from visiting family in Atlanta, but am seriously considering coming back for the Clemson game.
I have a couple of close friends who are Clemson guys, one of them has a lake house on Lake Hartwell.
Been to Clemson many-many times and is always a good time driving up Friday afternoon and staying over the weekend at the lake, even when I have to sit with them in a sea of orange ...

I did this last year in Tampa, I might try to do the same in Miami this year if I don't have a wedding to attend. If all my friends would stop getting married during football season I would really appreciate it.Already bought my Miami tix. Combine with a visit to the beach, should be fun.
That’s not what it sounds like:The cheer goes C-L-E-M-S-OOOOOO-N ... it's OK, a lot better than listening to the FSU warchant all night !!

Let's talk about travel. We have a good variety of destinations this year.
Away schedule:
- @ Clemson, Thurs, Aug 29... Greenville, SC
- @ Temple, Sat, Sept 28... Philadelphia, PA
- @ Duke, Sat, Oct 12... Raleigh/Durham, NC
- @ Miami, Sat, Oct 19... Miami, FL
- @ Virginia, Sat, Nov 9... Charlottesville, VA
Where do you plan to follow the Jackets?
Any good stories from years past?
Your recommendations while in town?
I've driven through Durham so many times and never stopped in-town but hear such good things about it. It's hard to justify driving 6 hours to watch a college football game in one of the ugliest stadiums and worst atmospheres in P5 though, especially when I have cheap beer/food at home, college gameday, other games, etcWhen I lived in North Carolina I went to Wallace Wade a couple of times. Neither team was very good back in the early 80s but that place is a strange setting for a football game. Clemson has good people and its a fun trip but very hard to get tickets. Never been anywhere else.

If a new stadium is ever in their plans, Duke would do well to build a 20-30k cap Tulane/Soccer Specific Stadium-esque place with steep, intimate stands and build it in a way it could be expandable down the road.
I have a wedding conflict that weekend. A-holesIf you go to Philly.....check out McGillin's Ale House......opened in 1860, oldest pub in Philly.

It also is in time with their fight song, so not really a "forgot the letter" type situation
Also one of the great American jazz songs and original recordings are in the Library of Congress.
Away tickets were sold for ST holders in May. Don't know if any remain or not.Student away tickets just went on sale through ramblinwreck.com. Clemson was only $90, the others ranged from $41-$60. I’d assume that means away tickets went on sale for non-students too.
