We're 7-0. We could be 4-3.

This is a great place to be. Surviving!!!

I don't care about process anymore!! 98.6557% of my fandom "life" .... I've care 87 6548% about process (not results)

"F" process! RESULTS RESULTS RESULTS!!

Just win. Win pretty. Win Ugly.

I. DO. NOT. CARE.

GO JACKETS!!
As Al Davis said so long ago...Just Win Baby! He put together players who would never be hired by any other NFL team and just kept winning.

At some point the committee has to quit valuing “good” losses over actual wins on the field. It keeps getting back to preconceived preseason rankings. Winning games on the field actually matters.
They matter to you and me, but that’s a pernicious, yet essential, part of The Narrative that helps maintain SOS and multiple teams in playoffs.

Back in the day pollsters were reluctant to put teams with losses ahead of undefeated teams. Even if the teams with losses appeared to be better teams it was just kind of unsportsmanlike.
NES, we have a number of younger posters and lurkers here. For the sake of clarity, would you mind defining the word "unsportsmanlike" to our audience? ;)

I predict 8th. The two SEC teams just ahead of us, LSU and Tenn, both lost so we will definitely pass them. Mia and TTU lost to ACC & Big12 teams respectively so they each will drop about 10 spots each; they won't get the benefit of doubt for having lost to an SEC team. I also think most AP voters will put us ahead of Mia as the top ACC team.

Also, voters so far this year have kept us above Vandy. I think Vandy will be 9th just behind us.

Vandy, ND and BYU could all jump us tbh. Just keep winning.

It’s what CBS thinks will happen

It may be close

A&M (with a very close W over a horrible Arky who fired their HC): Some seriously inclement weather conditions preceded a high-scoring back-and-forth at Arkansas, but the Aggies held strong with answers at every turn..."

GA Tech: "Brent Key's group is set to break into the top 10 after holding through a slow start in Durham and pulling away for an impressive win against Duke."

Miami: "Miami hangs on inside the top 10 in part because of the head-to-head win against Notre Dame,"

Tennessee: "The Volunteers boast another quality loss resume that voters will have to consider after a 37-20 loss at Alabama..."

And folks say there's no Narrative guiding these things....
