I've done this for a number of years. I use an efficiency metric that is based on EPI with a few tweaks.

I consider only ACC stats, no OOC games.
A player has to play in at least 70% of ACC games (13) to qualify for honors, though I tracked 131 players total this year - anyone who either avg over 10 mpg in ACC games or played in at least 13 games.

1st Team
Bagley - Duke 29.43
Robinson - BC 28.47
Maye - UNC 27.97
Bowman - BC 27.25
Carter Jr. - Duke 26.25

Note that Bonzie Colson has the highest overall efficiency metric with his 3 ACC games at 30.67

2nd team
Okogie - GT 25.89
Farrell - ND 24.38
Reed - Clem 24.33
Johnson - NCST 24.18
Pinson - UNC 24.06

Note: Donte Grantham in his 7 ACC games had a metric of 25.21

3rd Team
Crawford - Wake 24.0
Robinson - VT 23.81
Berry II - UNC 23.36
Allen - Duke 23.25
Deng - L'ville 22.75

Honorable mention (any player over 20.0)
Jerome - UVA 21.83
Geben - ND 21.78
Moore - Wake 21.31
Yurtseven - NCST 20.64
Spalding - L'ville 20.58
Gibbs - ND 20.56
Hall - UVA 20.44
Battle - Syr 20.25

FYI, Jose was the next player in the metrics overall (not just among rookies) after Wilson-Frame at 13.96

Thanks for the info. Any comment about BC with 2 players first team and an honorable mention. I know the strength was in the back court, but must have been little help after the first three. I also welcome any comments you have about GT next year. Red, IMHO, you write with more maturity and insight than anyone I read in sports.

Yea #1 team in the ACC - by far - and #1 in the country Virginia with zero players in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team. Does that imply that they have no superstars but a very well balanced team?

Many coaches would get fired for having the pipeline of players schools like UNC and Kentucky have and losing 10 games.

Could you explain how you've tweeked EPI?

I've spent time on football squad statistics, Offense and Defense, justifying their usefulness. I love stats based evaluations that seek objectivity.

Your numbers resonate with me subjectively, but how do you calculate them?
