First and foremost, thank you for your continued support of Georgia Tech football. We know you have been eagerly awaiting details for the 2020 season and appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate the unprecedented challenges that have arisen as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. While we continue to prepare to play the 2020 season as currently scheduled, we are awaiting guidance from the Atlantic Coast Conference on if there will be changes to the structure of the football season and what that would look like. At this time, we expect to receive that guidance late this month or early in August.
We want to assure you that if we are able to welcome fans to Bobby Dodd Stadium this fall, the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff and community will be the top priority. We continue to work diligently, following guidance from the Institute, the University System of Georgia, Governor Brian Kemp’s office and public health officials, to determine the safest courses of action.
Here is information that we can share at this time about the options you have for your season ticket investment:
SUPPORT THE SWARM FUND
More than likely, you will be due a refund for at least a portion of your season ticket investment due to schedule changes and/or capacity limitations, or if you choose to opt out of attending games this season. If this is the case, we hope that you will strongly consider turning your refund into a donation to the
Support The Swarm Fund. With the uncharted territory that we are currently navigating due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic comes significant financial challenges. The Support The Swarm Fund was established to provide our outstanding fans with a way to help our student-athletes continue to thrive despite the challenges in the short-term, and come out even stronger on the other side. Donations to the Support The Swarm Fund will help us overcome the financial challenges presented by Covid-19, which include:
· the significant expenses related to testing, social-distancing measures, expanded sanitation and venue technology needed to keep our student-athletes, staff and fans safe in our facilities and at our events;
· changes in our academic support and recruiting processes that remain necessary as we continue to navigate the ongoing pandemic;
· the potential for lost revenue due to limited capacity at our venues and/or a reduction in number of games played, particularly in football and/or men’s basketball.
The challenges presented by Covid-19 are undeniable, but with your continued support, we are hopeful that it can be a one-year road bump for Georgia Tech athletics, rather than a situation that affects our student-athlete experience for years to come.
SEASON TICKET MEMBER OPTIONS
We understand that the unique circumstances of this season require extraordinary flexibility and continued patience on the part of our fans, and we are committed to providing you with the best possible customer service during this time. We also understand that since many uncertainties about the upcoming football season still remain, making a decision at this time will be tough for many people. Despite the uncertainties, we are continuing to prepare for the fast-approaching season in order to be able to provide our season ticket members with timely and exemplary service once the structure of the upcoming season is confirmed.

OPTION A: Retain Your Tickets for 2020
Season ticket members who elect to retain their tickets for the 2020 season will be invited to participate in an online reseating process to select a seat location for the 2020 season in a socially distanced seating layout at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The exact capacity for seating is TBD. It is important to note that the seats you select will be for the 2020 season only. Your renewal invitation for 2021 will list the seats that were in your account prior to this one-year relocation. Additionally, season ticket members that elect to retain their seats for the 2020 season will receive a $25 discount on their 2021 season ticket purchase
(cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers).

OPTION B: Forego 2020 Season Tickets, but maintain seat locations for 2021
Season ticket members may elect to pass on attending games during the 2020 season, but hold their seats for 2021.
There may be some fans who are not comfortable attending games this fall for health or financial reasons. Your loyalty is important to us, so any season ticket member who has renewed their season tickets but decides they are not comfortable with attending games in 2020 may elect to gift that refund to the Support The Swarm Fund, roll any previous payments into a credit for the 2021 season, or request a refund.
You will continue to have the first right of refusal on your same seats for the 2021 season.
If you elect not to retain your seats for the 2020 season and have already paid money towards your tickets, TECH Fund, and/or parking, the following options will be available to you:
· Donate all or a portion of the refund to the Support the Swarm Fund -
season ticket members that choose this option will receive a $25 discount on 2021 season ticket purchase (cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers).
· Apply the entire amount as a credit towards 2021 season tickets.
· Receive a refund for the full amount to the original method of payment.
