@PVdad - We're all gonna miss your son being part of the team. I know this year and last year weren't the roles he expected or was hoping for - but he handled it like a true champion, and kept working to get better and remain a consistent, important part of the Yellowjackets.

I'm thrilled he stuck around for as long as he did, and thrilled to see him moving forward to bigger things - now as an alumnus of the Institute. Please let him know the amount of support (and thanks) he has from the Tech fanbase. He's a smart dude, a standup guy, and one helluva football player. He's meant a lot to this program, and his efforts here won't be forgotten. Wishing him the best of luck!!

Hope you'll still drop by this board on occasion - it's been a pleasure to get to know you.

Just responded to a negstive post about a former ht qb named johnson.
It made me want to highlight what could be in play for Zach.

Johnson transfered and rode the bdnch at San Diego state BUT IN NEXT YEAR HE WON QB JOB AS A RUNNING AND POSSESSION QB. SDS WENT 12-2 & WAS 5TH IN WKN LOSS RECORD
Good luck Zach.

I predict this thread will stay active.

Well, maybe. My fellow Gopher fans aren't necessarily convinced however he did the job against that team from Notre Dame.

But yes, I did grin. Merry Christmas.
The competition was not the best, but while playing hurt this is how he matches up in Domer games.

We believe we have a starter in Soph QB Drake Lindsey but need competition in the QB room to add that edge for a new QB position (as our QB this year was a Portal transfer with only one year eligibility). Zach will provide that in spades.

Although Coach Fleck has issues with game management (highly risk averse), he and his coaches do seem to have an eye for the Portal, and in fact embraced it as early as anyone in developing the next year's roster. That Zach made the cut in Fleck's eyes speaks both well of him but also GT. Coach Fleck's Row the Boat team culture is not for everyone (and neither is he), but transfers taken in have to already be shaped in that direction by where they are coming from. I think that applies to Tech. This is a compliment. Thanks for the early Christmas gift. Billd.

TBH, though I wish Zach the very best, this pic of him in a diferent uni makes me sad. He gave it all for GT - multiple times. Mad respect for this young man!
Has to be close to “next to last” in terms of uniform appearance. That is one butt ugly looking uni.

Wish this young man all the best. I was confident he would be a solid QB for us prior to Kings arrival. Also glad that our coaches found a plan to keep him involved with the goal line offense. He will always be a Tech man and hopefully tack on another degree for his 30 year plan.😊

Hope Minnesota fans appreciate what they’ve gotten in him. He is a team player with a capital T.
