Pyron is transferring

As a fan the portal can sometimes seem like an evil thing. But in this case it's something good. Zach can play football somewhere and probably start for some team and enjoy getting on the field more than he could here. He will leave with a GT degree in his hand and with a GT program that he has helped revive. He believed in GT when a lot of others didn't and gave us everything he had. It's great that he has a way to go elsewhere and I'll be very happy to see him do well.

Well, I expected this. As some above said, the timing wasn't there for Zach to get on the field as our set starter. But … he's a much better than average QB and will start somewhere when he transfers. I'll always look on him as a Tech man and root for him wherever he goes, unless he's playing against Tech. Even then I'll wish Tech luck and Zach his best. Thanks for the memories.

I’m a huge fan of his also, but he can’t go EVERYWHERE. I know it won’t happen, but there’s one place in particular he cannot go. He can (fill in the blank) himself if he ever steps foot on THAT campus with any intention of ever helping THEM. He will have burned a bridge that’s unable to be rebuilt.

I have no fear because he comes from a good family and has shown to be a person of outstanding character, but there’s just some things an honorable man cannot do.

I just can't think of anyone who was more of a Tech man. We have had many greats and he stands with the best. Such a great ambassador for the institute and the game. I am grateful we had him for as long as we did.
