On the flip side of the kickoffs thread, I believe we will not have to worry about a punter for the next four years, which is a huge relief. Even the one he shanked, he hit a mile high which means there's no return.

A true freshman coming in in a tough environment, and averaging 46 yards a punt bodes really really well for his career, and I think by the time Harvin retires, we are all going to be super anxious about his replacement.

With soccer er futbol being such a popular international sport and with GT being such and international school, we should have a school-wide search/tryout/campaign whatever you want to call it to find a leg among our student body. Where's the Aussie connection? Don't they kick a lot dan unda?

Punting is not legal on a normal kickoff, only after a safety. Colorado tried it a couple of years ago and the refs stopped it.

We should just try onside kicks if we can't get traditional kickoffs past the 5 yard line.
