That's pretty absurd for sure. I guess when you're the best you need to go up against something better to improve your team, but it's an interesting idea.

If our DBs can even remotely cover Calvin Johnson no one would ever be able to throw on us. If we brought back someone like Dwyer to play the roll of a powerful RB or something.

Maybe bring back some older defensive players to help simulate regular defenses better, who knows.

Former players not currently playing in the NFL? Whatever. I cannot imagine any active NFL players risking a career ending injury in a college practice for no pay for the sake of helping out a former coach.
