No clue why people keep thinking he’s out until summer. He’s been working out for 3 weeks now.
That's excellent news. We're all big fans of his.

From a purely orthopedic interest, was his injury merely a slight fracture (seems like it) or would you rather not comment?

I was just going with the only info I had, really glad to hear he is working out and hopefully can go through spring practice, I think the kid has a really bright future with Key and company, am really excited about him. He's a "baller" IMO.

Zach Pyron could prove to have the most upside potential of any quarterback here since Joe Hamilton. Looks like the real deal, and yes, he's a "baller". 236 days until toe meets leather.

Spring game will have much more competition.
TFG - in year 1 and 2 had so little depth he made up ATL and showed off practice drills.
This year we will have 2 qbs with game experience and upside. Because we have 2 qbs the WR room is filling up too.

Spring game - There will be no winner but lots of defintion on what we need to be ready to fix in Fall Camp.

The gold verses white is going to be team building.

My gt prayer - thanks for quality players, AD, PREZ, and coaches. But by end of year may we please see in game magic like we saw from joe ham, friedgen, cp johnson.

I think maybe you are confusing not having depth with not knowing how to utilize the depth you do have. TFG suffered from a massive case of the latter one. :)
I am not confused.

Sure TFG made it worse than it needed to be = 1-2 years. But I am moving beyond TFG hate and praising the new organization.
They will make this time up quickly.
The new staff for example found Zach on the bench, brought in another p5 starter qb from TAM, just got a rivals 6.0 soph WR from Ala via UCF.

Last year our ol had one starter return but this yesr they all return and will be pressed bench players, last years and this years recruits (one named Patrick Screws has to be good ).

He saw some playing time in 2021, but next to none in 2022. Buried on the depth chart, I guess.

He would have two years to play as a grad. Probably a decent backup and we need some bodies on the DL.

Think he can bring some good interior depth and experience. Sounds like he could make an impact on special teams to. Could use help there.

It feels bad for Reuben when you get behind multiple all American 5 star recruits that Clemson gets every year for DL. But I suppose when you sign there that is what you should expect. He might be better than what the lack of playtime would indicate. We’ll see.
Which of our Alabama and Clemson transfers didn't see much playing time as expected this year? I hope he sees the field here. I think it's a good roll of the dice

Kevin Harris from Bama has been a complete non-factor for us the past two seasons. Lot of practice hype, but he's played in 15 games and recorded a total of 8 tackles. No TFL, no sacks, no PD, no FF.

I feel really good about the transfers coming in. Some will work out, like Ace, Hassan Hall & KJ Wallace, and some won't - like Phommachanh or Dylan McDuffie. Longer term, I'm personally hoping that we build a strong HS scouting department, ignore stars, develop from Freshman year, and hopefully in 3 or 4 years we'll just be adding a couple key pieces from Transfer Portal.
