Yes. However, money being a bottom line reality and being the driving motive of all things is apples and oranges. Comsumption vs. conspicuous consumption there is a significant matter of magnitude that is important.It was about money back in the fifties just a whole lot less money because it was about butts in the seats, very little TV, so TV had very little say about what the colleges did. The Mississippi schools and Dodd differences back then as an example. It's always about the money in most anything that has money in it.
