Player for Bobby Dodd Named Gilbert

For all you old timers, I could use some help.

I bought the book "Dodd's Luck" signed by Bobby Dodd with the inscription "To Gilbert, One of my boys. Bobby Dodd"

I went back through all of the rosters under Dodd and couldn't find anyone with the first name (or last name) of Gilbert. I figure "Gilbert" wasn't a starter.

Anyone have any ideas who it may be? Or how I could figure out?
