Some interesting insight as to why FK hasn't been on the field as much as most would have hoped from a 4* recruit.

"One of the biggest challenges for Kallon, Pelton said, has been his inability to retain the scheme from one season into the following spring and to the ensuing preseason camp.

'With Francis, ever since I’ve been here, no matter when you started, it was always like the first day,' Pelton said, 'whether it was the first day of spring, whether it was the first day of fall, and that’s just been the story with him.' ".
looks like he isn't doing much thinking about football during the offseason...

This is just a constant reminder of CPJ comment "There are a lot guys that are just happy to be on the team". As much it hurts to do this but I have to agree with alagold. This is ODD!!! Especially for a guy who has been in the program for 5 yrs. Exactly what is he doing when he is not getting reps? What is he doing during film session? What does his offseason consist of doing? This is a comment you make about a sophomore not 5th year senior. And we are expecting him to retain info now? Good luck with that! Praying Glanton or Adams is ready bc I'm not holding breath on Kallon

Not saying anything nehative about kallon.
At orange bowl I visited w his dad. At that time his dad seemed very optimistic about him being ready.
To me he seems too tall and little lean for a run stopper and more like a pass rush specialist. Could be run stopper if we defensed like Texans and Broncos = one guy gets to make a slant rish on snap.

Fwiw, it's hard to learn stuff for which you don't have the theory/vocabulary clear. It's possible that there were gaps in terminology that never took. During the season, he could maintain some degree of set of actions with play calls without understanding the label of individual actions.

As someone whose worked with techs in lab contexts, I know the difference in retention between guys who have learned some theory and guys who are just trying to remember cable connections on the rack by 4 down three over.
