Tech should have brought Oleary back after resume gate. I think he would have evolved to handle APR just fine. It’s not like his recruits weren’t taking calculus.

Our proud academic institute and butthurt alumni (and tree hugger don’t have rough practices types) made it an impossibility.

I was one of about 100 Tech fans at the time that wanted him back. Water under the bridge.

Yes, our defense was shutting them down well enough that we had a good lead and then lost in overtime. Smith's first year at Tech. was 2000.

You are right. He was recruited by Bobby Ross. Had a career ending injury.

CPJ knows the passing game needs to improve. Just watch Duke offensive cuts. They just left guys (underneath) uncovered since it was better for them to disrupt mesh and the slow developing passing game than to cover guys that we just weren't hitting. The run game was basically unstoppable until they committed more guys to it than we could handle. Pat Swilling is right that if the pass game were used marginally more, the offense would be unstoppable.
